1. Who we are
GetRusty is a UK home-services marketplace project preparing a proposed closed beta in Leicester and Coventry. It is not currently operated through an incorporated limited company.

2. Information we collect
For the waitlist, we collect your first name, email address, participant role (homeowner or service provider), selected geographical area, applicable service category, optional marketing preference, registration timestamp and the version of the privacy notice shown at registration.
We do not require a full home address, phone number, payment details or identity documents to join the waitlist. Security providers may also process technical information to help prevent automated submissions and abuse.
3. Why we use information
We use the information to administer interest in the beta, organise prospective participants, contact people about their requested beta registration, send separately opted-in marketing updates and protect the registration service. Joining the waitlist does not guarantee an invitation.
4. Lawful bases
We rely on legitimate interests to administer voluntary beta waitlist requests, contact applicants about their requested beta participation and protect the service against misuse. Our interests are organising a limited beta and maintaining a secure registration service. We have documented a legitimate interests assessment covering necessity, reasonable expectations and safeguards. Separately, we rely on your consent for optional promotional emails. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests by contacting us.
5. Marketing choices
Optional promotional messages require an unticked opt-in. You can withdraw your marketing consent at any time by emailing getrustyfox@gmail.com, without automatically losing your waitlist place.
6. Retention
Waitlist entries are retained for up to 12 calendar months from registration unless deleted earlier, or unless a person separately joins the beta service under its own privacy information. A daily scheduled deletion process is configured for expired waitlist entries. Limited information may be retained longer when required or justified by applicable law.
7. Storage and service providers
The waitlist uses Cloudflare Workers, Cloudflare D1 and Cloudflare Turnstile for hosting, storage and protection against abuse. We use Google Gmail when corresponding with applicants. These providers and their authorised subprocessors may process information outside the UK. Where a restricted international transfer takes place, the applicable legal transfer safeguards are required. You can contact us for further information about the arrangements relevant to your data. A particular database storage location does not mean that all related processing stays within that location.
8. Sharing
We do not intend to sell waitlist data or make it available to unrelated third parties for their independent marketing. Service providers may process information to support hosting, security, storage and correspondence.
9. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct or erase your data; object to or restrict certain processing; request portability where applicable; and withdraw consent when consent is the lawful basis. Contact getrustyfox@gmail.com. Reasonable identity verification may be needed. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
10. Security
The waitlist is designed to use server-side validation, Turnstile anti-abuse verification, rate limiting and access controls. No online system can guarantee absolute security.
11. Children
The waitlist is intended for adults aged 18 and over. Applicants are asked to confirm that they are 18 or over when signing up. This is a self-declaration rather than independent age verification. We do not knowingly seek submissions from children.

We will review and update this notice as our data use changes, and provide additional information where required for material changes.
