A simpler, fairer way to get home repairs done.
From the first leak to the final sign-off, see how GetRusty keeps homeowners and local trades on the exact same page. No guessing, no lead-generation traps, and no endless cold calls.

"We take the mystery out of trade bookings. Here's how our structured process protects your time and your home!"
Four steps towards a clearer job.
Designed to reduce the confusion that can arise when arranging home repairs.
Tell Rusty what you need
Describe your repair, improvement or maintenance job in plain English. No jargon required.
Rusty asks guided, trade-specific questions: boiler manufacturer, radiator valve types, fuse box layout, and photo prompts.

Trades can receive a clearer brief rather than a vague one-line enquiry.
Understand the job
Review the job scope, relevant trade requirements and indicative price guidance where available.
Indicative estimates are for guidance only and vary based on site inspection.
Compare local offers
Compare itemised offers from participating local tradespeople during the beta.
Compare side-by-side: labour allocation, materials breakdown, earliest arrival slot, and verified past reviews.
Move forward safely
Agree on clear milestones, confirm arrival windows, and maintain a complete audit trail from start to finish.
Milestone checkpoints, digital work receipts, and prompt customer support if questions arise on site.
Protected start to finish.
Why structured questions change everything.
When a tradesperson has to spend their evening ringing up six people just to find out whether a combi boiler is in the attic or the kitchen cupboard, everyone loses time.
Guided Visual Prompts
Rusty prompts you for the precise angles trades need to evaluate the workspace accurately.
Standardized Specs
Boiler brands, fuse capacity, pipe materials, and room dimensions are logged consistently.
Respect for Privacy
We intend to limit contact sharing and explain how it works before beta access.

"Got it, you're hearing a persistent knocking noise when the central heating kicks in. Where is the boiler located?"
"Second-floor airing cupboard next to the master bedroom."
"Grand! Can you see a pressure gauge on the front? What bar reading does it display right now?"
Why trades love this: Recording an observed gauge reading can help a qualified engineer decide what to check; Rusty does not diagnose faults.
Traditional UK Directories vs GetRusty
We built GetRusty because the old pay-per-lead marketplace model frustrates both honest British trades and busy homeowners.
Traditional Directories
Trades pay upfront just to respond to an enquiry, regardless of whether the homeowner ever responds or awards the work.
One-liner descriptions such as "fix tap" without make, model, photo, or access information, forcing blind estimates.
Some lead services share contact details with several businesses, which can result in unwanted calls.
Lead-selling models may charge for an introduction without supporting the wider job process.
GetRusty Platform
Our proposed model has no pay-per-lead charges. Any commission will be calculated on labour and explained in the beta terms.
Rusty's structured wizard captures photos, access notes, exact measurements, and equipment serials before submission.
Compare itemised quotes neatly within the application. You decide if and when you want to chat directly with a pro.
We aim to support clearer scopes, agreed milestones and fair dispute handling.
Vetted Local Verification
We plan appropriate identity and trade-credential checks for beta participants.
Starting close to home.
We are deliberately confining our initial closed release to Leicester and Coventry. By keeping density tightly focused, we can learn from local participants and improve the experience before expanding.

Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about the upcoming closed beta.
Is GetRusty free for homeowners to use?
Joining the waitlist is free. We will publish the final homeowner fee and service terms before launch.
How do trades get vetted before entering the beta?
We intend to check identity and relevant insurance or trade credentials before participation in live jobs (such as Gas Safe registration ID for heating engineers, or NICEIC/NAPIT certificates for electrical work).
Are the quotes final or can they change on site?
Rusty helps trades compile accurate itemised estimates by asking the right diagnostic questions up front. However, if hidden issues are discovered upon physical inspection (e.g. concealed pipe corrosion), any revision requires your explicit digital sign-off before work continues.
